Upcycling BMW 3 Series Seat for Assetto Corsa SIM RIG
The first thing we need to build is a frame in which the 325CI BMW seat can mount to. We picked up four 2x4 8ft pieces of lumber and made a very simple seat frame. The width of the 2x4 was made to the width of the seat frame mounts. This would allow us to drill the set into the wooden fame with some lag bolts.
Next we needed a 12v source of power that has enough amperage to power the BMW seat motors. We picked up a 12v 10amp power brick from amazon that came with a nice little wire block. We then used some spare 18GA wire along with some terminals that easily attach to the BMW power connectors.
